Terms of Use

Community Connect is an independent, student-built directory that helps Temple University students discover student organizations. It is not an official Temple University service. Temple University has not reviewed, endorsed, or approved this site, and we do not speak for the university, for the Office of Student Activities, or for any organization listed here.

The site is a discovery tool. It does not register you for anything, does not grant membership, and is not a substitute for an organization’s own sign-up process or Temple’s official channels.

Organization listings are submitted by people representing those organizations. If you submit a listing, you are responsible for it. Specifically, you confirm that:

• The information you provide is accurate and not misleading, and you will let us know when it is out of date.
• You are authorized to represent the organization you are submitting and to share the information and links you provide.
• You have the rights to any content you submit, and sharing it here does not violate anyone else’s rights or any Temple policy that applies to your organization.

Listings are public. Everything in the listing fields — name, description, category, meeting details, links, and any contact email you provide — is visible to anyone who visits the site. Do not put anything in a listing that you would not want publicly posted, and do not include other people’s personal information. The name and email of the submitter are kept private, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not independently verify every listing, and details like meeting times change constantly. Confirm anything important directly with the organization before you show up somewhere.

Listings link out to third-party services such as Instagram pages, sign-up forms, group chats, and email addresses. Those destinations are not ours. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

We may edit, hide, reject, merge, or remove any listing at our discretion — for example to fix formatting, resolve duplicates, remove content that violates these terms, or take down a listing at the request of the organization. We are not obligated to publish any submission, and we do not promise to review every submission before it appears.

If something on the site is wrong, misleading, or should not be here, email jtrump1348@gmail.com and we will look at it.

Accounts are optional. If you create one, you are responsible for activity that happens under it and for keeping access to your email or Google account secure. Do not share your account, and do not sign in as someone else. Tell us if you think your account has been misused.

Any Temple email address you enter is currently unverified — it does not prove enrollment and does not grant any special access.

• Submit content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or defamatory.
• Submit false, deceptive, or impersonating listings, including listings for organizations you do not represent.
• Spam the site, or use it to advertise unrelated commercial offers.
• Scrape, overload, probe, or otherwise interfere with the site or the systems behind it.
• Use the site to collect personal information about other students.

You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting a listing, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, format, and distribute that content on and in connection with Community Connect, including in the app’s search, recommendation, and promotional surfaces. You can end that license going forward by asking us to remove your listing.

Temple University’s name and marks, and the names and logos of the organizations listed here, belong to their respective owners.

Community Connect is a volunteer, student-built project offered free of charge and provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site will be available, that it will be error-free, that recommendations will suit you, or that any listing is accurate or current. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from anything you do with an organization you find here. We may change, suspend, or shut down the service at any time.

We may update these terms as the project develops. Updates are posted on this page with a new date at the top, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
